How to Prepare for the ZKSync Airdrop

You may have heard about the recent Arbitrum airdrop. Thousands of people were sent thousands of dollars worth of tokens for having participated in the Arbitrum network and helping make it what it is today. Protocols do this to put their tokens in the hands of wallets aligned with their objectives. However, lots of people choose to “farm” these airdrops by taking actions that make them look like a committed users in hopes of increasing the amount of tokens they’ll be sent. ZKSync is the next big airdrop on deck. This post will help you maximize your airdrop with minimal effort.

Step 1: Add ZK Sync Era to MetaMask

ZKSync’s network is called Era. You’ll have to manually add Era to MetaMask to interact with smart contracts on the network.

Click on Add network.

Scroll down to the bottom of the network list and click Add network manually.

Fill in the zkSync Era mainnet network details:

Step 2: Bridge ETH to Era

I’d recommend at least 0.3 ETH. More is better, as airdrops are at least partially proportional to volume. Use the official Bridget here: https://bridge.zksync.io/

Step 3: Buy a .zk name using the zkSync Name Service (optional)

Longer names are cheaper

Step 4: Mint/Buy an NFT

As of the time of writing, zkBoredApes are minting publicly for 0.025 ETH here: https://mint.zkboredapes.com/

Alternatively, you can buy an NFT from a collection of your choice on secondary from Element here: https://element.market/zksync

Make sure your network is set to zkSync Era

Step 4: Create LP position on SyncSwap

Go to the SyncSwap site here: https://syncswap.xyz/

Swap ≤ 1/4 of your remaining ETH into USDC

Add that USDC and equivalent ETH into the ETH/USDC LP

SyncSwap autocompounds, so no need for harvesting

Step 5: Create LP position on Mute

Go to the Mute site here: https://app.mute.io/

Swap the same amount of ETH as you used on SyncSwap into USDC

Add that USDC and equivalent ETH into the ETH/USDC LP

Add that Liquidity to the Farm on the Amplifier tab

Harvest your LP weekly and optionally reinvest (to maximize transactions and volume)
